Super windy but oh so gorgeous! Most of the snow was melted, but there are some downed trees.

There are a few blown down trees on the trail. Some icy patches and some areas of melt making it a bit muddy.

Did this hike mid December. No snow, absolutely beautiful day. River was mostly iced over stunning. Two very large bull moose just 25 yards off trail. Trail is a great entry level trail. Lake is really not much of a "lake" however, if that's what you're goin for.

Very easy but beautiful trail! The snow was bare in the beginning but towards the end it got pretty deep. I wore snowshoes and was glad I had them. The road to get to this is paved and very accessible. The drive there was as pretty as the hike itself!

Like previously said, still some ice but still very doable. Very little snow accumulation and none in the wooded areas. Amazing to get to hike in January.

Monday before Thanksgiving hike was a good time to go. Nobody on the trail from just outside the canyon to Sioux Charley. Good trail conditions. Always a beautiful walk !

HikingGreat!

This was an absolutely beautiful hike! It has pretty much everything: beautiful rock canyon walls, deep forest, open meadows, rushing river with waterfalls and spectacular views! On top of all that it was pretty easy. Highly recommend!
