What a day for hiking. We hit this trail around 8 am and joined a few nature photographers for stunning views of the falls and river bed. It was gorgeous. Short quick walk to falls and back, maybe 15 minutes, but hanging out will keep you there much longer. Very easy

Very easy and we got to see a moose in the pond on our way to running eagle falls which was nice. There are horseflies that like to bite so bring a hat and some spray, we also spotted a deer track and a bear paw along the main trail on the way to running eagle. Very cute hike would recommend for families could be a little crowded at certain times we went in the late afternoon and only came into contact with three groups of people. Nice beautiful walk.

Super short hike with a really cool waterfall at the end. Make sure to go climbing on the rocks near the Falls. Our 6 and 8 year old girls loved the climbing around on the rocks.

Very accessible and short trail to some pretty falls. Bridge over to the falls is fixed. Nature walk in the loop has some interpretive signs about the various plants you’ll see all around Glacier. Signage at the parking lot gives some of the mythic history of the place (the falls are named for Running Eagle, a lady chief)—nice to see some recognition in the park that it was native land before it was federal land.

Very short and flat trail. We took our 3yr old and he has no trouble. The trail ends at a river and has a beautiful waterfall as well. Be aware that as of 06/11/19 the bridge to get closer to the falls was out. But you still get a nice view. Definitely worth it for a short walk.

The trail is very short and easy. would not consider this a hike, just a leisurely stroll. Waterfall is very breathtaking however and makes this a nice stop to stretch out from the car ride.

The Running Eagle Falls Trail is an enjoyable, leisurely 0.6 mile spur trail that culminates at a small waterfall. Parking available at the trailhead, fee required to park in Glacier. This pass can be purchased at the small drive-by ranger station by the Lower Two Medicine Lake road. Having landed in Great Falls two hours prior, my father and I took a quick rest stop near Two Medicine Lake. The evening was upon us with sunset approaching quickly, so a long hike to Dawson Pass or Scenic Point would've been imprudent. This 10-minute walk seemed perfect. Running Eagle Falls sits a third of a mile past the trailhead; the present walk takes you through a nature trail along a creek. As another reviewer stated, it's a "walk in your backyard" difficulty that a toddler could complete. The falls itself is normally comprised of two flows, one that tumbles over the rock formation, and the other that emerges from a cave-like area inside the formation. Low flow in August saw only the latter running. Fed by glacial melt, the stream is an opal blue, picturesque and perfect for photography. I found ample spots to shoot from, most of which required bypassing the wooden onlooker deck. My long exposure shot turned out beautifully. Two Medicine Lake feeds this water source, so the falls should be running year-round. If you're making an exploratory pit stop- as dad and I did- make sure to venture to the falls for a quick Montana introduction. However, if you're spending a day near Two Medicine Lake, nearby Pitamakan/Dawson Passes and Scenic Point would be significantly more rewarding hikes. Little more than a decent outing, but quite glad I got to see the falls!

This hike is awesome, if you have kids you must do this one. You cross a stream to play in as well as a footbridge. You get so close to the falls, the wind and mist is cool.
