Really enjoyed the trail right outside Whitefish. There is a beautiful overlook if you take the Skyles Lake lookout loop. It’s only .4 miles and totally worth it. There is even a bench to sit on. We took our pup with us.

Great trail-easy to find and follow. Dry trail conditions; spots to pull off and enjoy a picnic view. Very enjoyable!

Great easy hike in the snow and trees. The trail was mostly empty. But did run across other walkers with their dog(s), runner and snow bikes. Peaceful and quiet.

Why haven’t I been here before? Been coming to Whitefish for years and just downloaded this app and decided to check this trail out. Great walk with my dogs where you bump into enough people not to feel too nervous but not so much that you can’t enjoy serenity. Did the Skylar Lake overlook - very worthwhile! Family friendly, lots of trail runners.

We did Lion Mt. trail to Skyles Lake Overlook (loop). Runner/Dog/bike/horse friendly trail, never saw any evidence of the latter. Saw about as many runners as we saw dogs. Overall nice short hike one can add-on short overlooks or even connect to a longer trails; the options are nice! Four stars because of steady road noise.

Schöne sehr kurze Wanderung. Gut wenn man noch etwas kleines machen möchte. Stark frequentierte Route mit vielen Hunden, gern benutzte Strecke von einheimischen

The trail was a fun short hike with a nice view midway. It was clean and debris free.

Good overall hike- some of the signage was missing and or not clear if you are a visitor. Several trail cross overs seemed confusing. The overlook is beautiful and overall the trail was in good condition.

Nice hike for being close to town. Short & sweet. Don’t miss the overlook. Probably really exceptional at sunset.

Nice little trail. Moderately busy for a Friday afternoon. Not a whole lot to see but worth checking out for an easy stroll if you’re in the area. Seems to be used mostly by locals

Lovely hike with a Magnificat view

This trail is a really nice stroll through the woods. It is very easy and doable by all ages and experience. It can get a bit confusing with some "new" trails being on paths from lazy people and cutting corners.

This was a nice day hike. The trail was well marked and a beautiful area. I recommend this hike if you are ever in the area. The lookout area has a great view.

Easy trail that is moderately trafficked. We went on a Sunday morning around 930 and it was not very busy at all. Great overlook of the lake. Great trail to take if you don’t have much time. It’s right outside of town. Approximately 20 parking spaces but you can also park along the road. Restrooms are also at the trailhead.

This was great family trail with a nice view at the top. The only reason I’m not giving it a 5 is because it was a very busy trail (we did go in 7/5/19). Apparently it’s also a popular mountain bike trail in the area. I felt that made the trail a bit dangerous for little kids.
