Great trail network just on the edge of town. Stopped in Helena on our way back to Denver and was elated to learn this whole trail system allows dogs off leash as long as they are under voice command!

The Prairie Trail is one that can be used to add distance to sister trails on Mount Helena. It pretty much skirts the base of the mountain. It has open field areas as well as portions with good tree coverage.
