Went here with my daughter this morning. Not experienced hikers. Doable but muddy. Went early. Lot was full by the time we came down ~10:30.

The falls are a great reward after 1.3 mile hike uphill. Trail has rocks so wear sturdy-soled shoes. Just a few muddy patches to navigate. I’m 50 years old, no experience hiking, had back surgery, yet found this hike to be just right for me! Don’t be fooled by the first waterfall off the trail a mile in. Go a little further and you’ll know when you’ve reached the big waterfall you wanted to see. Parking was fine at 10am but all full as we were leaving at 12:30. Will cherish this memory when we return to PA.

Wonderful hike with plenty of forested shade and a well-worn path. Be sure to detour onto the rocks (right of trail) just before the falls, where you can get up close with the river. There are two options to do this and both are worth it. Also be sure to cross the bridge at the falls to see its other arm.

Awesome trail to a spectacular waterfall. We encountered five small groups of hikers on the way up and same on way down. Easy to keep distance and take time at the top with the waterfall. Some puddles and mud patches, but easy enough to get around with a bit of balance and forethought.

Road to the trailhead was clear. Started this a little before 9am and didn’t see a single person on our way to the falls. The last quarter mile to the trailhead started to get crowded. Definitely recommend starting this one early. Didn’t run into any wildlife and there weren’t many bugs. Parts of the hike were muddy, but nothing a pair of waterproof boots couldn’t handle.

The trail was beautiful. The trail was still muddy in some areas but good throughout, definitely rocky so just watch footing. The sign at the trailhead says it’s 1 mile to the falls but it’s 1.3 to the falls (clocked with two apple-watches). The trail was moderately trafficked, narrow in some spots but with plenty of opportunities to let others pass. The are no more downed trees on the trail, also there are two small creek crossings. Other than that would recommend for all ages.

Beautiful trail! The way up was long and uphill but hiking down was easy as pie! This is my new favorite hike!! Some people along the way but secluded and serene for the most part. I would say it’s a bit complicated but would recommend for sure! Bring a sweatshirt as its very nice and shady. Also be careful on the bridge at the end! Happy hiking

This is a really easy hike, definitively not moderate. Its super muddy and there's at least 3-4 fallen trees that you have to climb over which can be difficult. Impossible to stay away from others on this hike too, there's people, kids, and off leash dogs everywhere. Falls are very cool though

Fabulous winter hike. The falls are gorgeous frozen over and it was easy enough for my 6 year old.

This was a great short hike ~1hr to falls with stops for water/rest, photos. Heavy hiker/dog traffic encountered, but beautiful falls. The trail is mostly packed dirt/rocks/roots.You can continue up beyond falls for a longer hike or camping to pine creek lake.

Fun hike without a lot of tough uphills but enough to get you moving. There were lots of families with children and dogs on the trail. The falls at the end are not very big but are still beautiful and relaxing. There are nooks and crannies around the falls to find some space to sit quietly while others are taking pictures and whatnot. There are also a few areas to step off the trail along the way and get closer to the creek/river. Overall a nice, quick, accessible hike.

Great little 2+ hour workout. I would rate it on the easier side of moderate. Not much elevation gain and lots of shade. Great for kids and beginning hikers. Pack a lunch and eat at the falls on a rock while listening to water. 5 for a big payoff with only 1.2 mile walk to get there.

Trail was mostly shaded, rocks on the trail, have to be careful not to trip on them. I found the hike very enjoyable, some people on the trail but just the ones we passed going opposite direction. I am a beginner hiker so this was a good work out for me. Total time with a few pictures and water break about two hours. Could of been less flies

This trail was great! Not too challenging for a beginner but good enough to make you feel like you worked for it. Several places to step off and catch views of the stream. The waterfall is beautiful. Well worth the hike!

nice hike through the forest along the creek to the falls. mostly shaded, more flies than mosquitos. Rocky trail with some muddy areas. not much of a view due to the trees. we arrived late morning and the parking lot was nearly filled. popular hike. bathroom very close to TH.

Great trail for beginner/moderate hikers. We loved being able to take our pup as well! We went in the afternoon and saw quite a few other hikers. Great for a short day hike! Mid June weather was nice, pretty muddy at the beginning but gets better as you go. Mostly hiking in the shady areas which is nice as well. Overall a great hike! We will be going for the lake next month!
