Fine easy hike but a lot of horse poop which took away time from looking at nature and down at the trail instead

Easy short hike. Terrain is filled with horse poop which is annoying.

As an avid hiker, I must say, this was a poor experience. Was looking for an easy afternoon hike, and this ended up being more of a 3.5 mile game of hop scotch dodging horse dung every step.

Great hike on a sunny summer afternoon. It is a bit difficult to find as you need to go through Lone Mountain Ranch to get to the trailhead but if you ask for directions from anyone there they are very helpful and once you find it, the trail is easily marked throughout. Because it is off the ranch, expect horse droppings along the path- its not bad, but horses are riding the path too. This is an easy trail for beginners who may not be use to the altitude yet.

Difficult to find the start of the trail as it's in a resort. If you park at the bottom near the visitor center, head through the gate and up the hill to the left.
