Lots of incline following the “L” . Beautiful views. Flowers are starting to poke out end of April. Pup loved it .

Fairly steady walk until reaching the "L" then the trail has a steep incline for about .5 miles. Gorgeous views of Missoula and not a super crowded trail. Easily a quick afternoon hike for an in-shape hiker.

Great hike! Steep grade but well worth the effort. Busy trail with lots of people and pets and you can hear the traffic of Missoula the whole way; not a deterrent for me, just an fyi. Love this hike!

Such an awesome trail with amazing views of the surrounding mountains and Missoula below. The switchbacks make it super manageable- I am still new to hiking in mountainous terrain and I genuinely enjoyed it and kept a good pace. Dog friendly too!

Switchbacks make the elevation gain easier. If you're use to hiking the Northeast trails this should be a nice warmup hike to the area. Very exposed trail with views the whole way up.

I went in early summer and the trail was in good condition. Definitely make sure to bring a water bottle because there were no trees to offer shade, but the hike and view was diverse. On one side there is the city of Missoula, and on the other, several mountains downriver. Would recommend. Took me about an hour and a half to loop the whole thing.

First real hike since I moved here and it was a little bit hard but the view is totally worth it!

Great view of Missoula. As a Canadian boy used to hiking big mountains in Banff and Jasper, I heavily under estimated this hike. The steepness of the trail is not to be taken lightly. Great hike. Can reach the summit in under an hour.

Great hike for views of Missoula and Bonner once you get to summit. Watching the gliders was pretty fun as well. Trail got by blood pumping and was my first official Montana hike.

Great hike but wouldn't categorize it as hard! It has some steep terrain but most of it is fairly flat, with great views!

I really like this trail.. It is close to town and while it is a bit steep it is also very pretty.

Gets really steep really quick. Not much to see for a long time as the gulch is really narrow. You can get there from Marshall Ski area too and they both get up to Sheep mountain. Parking is nil. Narrow trail so you can be dodging traffic descending (rt of way) and there are just many other good places to go. Whiny.
