7 huge piles of skat top half and more Huckleberry patches then I've ever seen! No views today, but a great hike anyway.

Great trail! There was a lot of bushwhacking but totally worth the view at the top. From the car, to the top, and back was about 11 miles total with over 3,800 ft of elevation. We did this hike July 30th and the weather was absolutely amazing with 360 degree views of glacier national park and surrounding areas. Huckleberry bushes covered the sides of the trail. Highly recommended hike.

Most definitely a must do for sure! About 95% of the trail is heavily wooded with major shade and knocked down trees. Definitely bring bug spray on this one! Had to spray myself and my two pups twice! After you make that left turn at the junction towards Edna CR TR NO 489, you’ll find out that majority of the hike is overgrown but still was obvious of where to go. Once you get up and hit the saddle you’ll come across two epic lakes and in between two different peaks. Furlong is the steep mountain to your left. There’s no designated path to the top so just make your own route.
