I would recommend this trail to anyone looking for an easy stroll through glacier national Park. Great views of the river throughout. Limited views of the mountains. Would be a great hike to do with children. No wild life.

Nice easy (senior friendly) trail. We did it clockwise, which we liked better. The McDonald Creek portion of the trail had several ‘stop and take it in’ benches. River crossings provided nice photo ops. The lake side was a gentle walk thru a western rainforest. Not to crowded.

Easy trail. Lots of people, but periods of isolation. We go slow, so it took about an hour.

Nice easy loop that anyone could do. Got there about 8 and only saw other people when crossing the creek. A great quiet forest walk.

Easy loop with not much elevation. We got on the trail around 715am and were the only ones there making it a little spooky with all the bear country signs. No animal sightings but we did have some great views of the river

Hiked on 7/1/19. Nothing to really enjoy about Johns Lake. The rest is enjoyable but plenty of stops along the road to see without the hike.

A relaxing trail with some surprisingly good vantage spots, and two waterfalls worth photographing.
