Very enjoyable hike on the recently completed bike trail. The trail is a bit undulating and curving as the recent improvements were made with mountain biking in mind. Very nice picturesque Basin as you cross drainages. Slightly more up hill if you start from Lost Creek but after the initial hill the trail mellows to a steady easy to manage grade.

Nicely maintained trail alongside Lost Creek. Muddy in the spring/early summer. Came across a moose. Sharing the trail with bikers, riders, but not busy. Due to the length it is 4 stars, unless someone can meet you at the other end of the trail. Lost Creek is a state park so fees are required for non-residents.
