Great views from the top with choices on the return. Loved seeing the restoration of the aspen groves. Two water crossings going up. Option to climb to the knob. Steady climb up but very doable with resting stops.

This hike offered some good views and wild flowers along the way, but nothing spectacular compared to others in the area. It is also extremely unmarked and super easy to get onto the wrong trail. Highly recommend tracking the hike with this app to make sure you stay on the right trail.

The trail deserves at least three stars for excellent views of Lone Peak, Spanish Peaks, and the Gallatin Crest. It loses because it’s one of the most poorly marked forest service trails I’ve hiked.

Very open hike with meadows and lots of wildflowers that were beautiful. We were the only ones on the hike and the trail has a very narrow path so would definitely recommend bear spray and long pants if you have any. A very easy-moderate hike that was good for an afternoon stroll while looking for some incline with good views!

Pretty steady incline the whole way up, and the views keep getting better. We went in early July, so the wildflowers in the meadows were abundant and beautiful. Our dog loved this hike and we did too
