Would have been better without the homeless camps. Saw 3 deer.

Well the trail was a nice nature hike...when you could locate the trail. The trail online as others have mentioned, does not match the actual path. It needs maintenance. BUT we did encounter a deer in the tall grass about ten feet from us. The trailhead signs really need a "you are here" pin for orientation

Walking

Was a very easy walk with 3 young kids. We walked the paved path first, then wandered around and explored the older trails. Saw some small snakes, a beaver, and some deer. Very relaxing stroll and easy for the kiddos.

I recommend this as a midday stroll. The trail is unnecessarily twisty and poorly marked. However there is plenty of in city wildlife to see and it is rather family friendly.

New nature trail /recently cut and mowed - great for kids about 1 mile long and fairly level/smooth path. lots of surrounding water/ponds so mosquitoes were an issue. We saw a couple Does and a Buck.

Old trial is over grown and mostly obsolete. Take the paved trail that follows to creek

Looks like they are trying to phase out the old trail; a large log was placed in front of the trail once it leaves the main portion of the park. I kept going after the log, and it was pretty muddy and there were lots of mosquitoes. You're probably better off sticking to the main paved trail that heads up the creek; it was easy and peaceful.
