A spur off of Gunsight Lake that leads to this glacier and back. It is a rapidly dwindling glacier and is very close to vanishing. Take trail for Gunsight lake at either Jackson Glacier Overlook or Lake McDonald (a VERY demanding day hike!) At Gunsight lake go over the log bridge and follow signs for Jackson Glacier. The Glacier is on the east side of the Continental divide SSW of Gunsight Pass.

You'll be sad if you don't take advantage of the glaciers while you can..it's amazing up there. Strenuous hike but it isn't long and very worth it! So many wildflowers too. I'd say it's pretty close to heaven.

Great hike a little spur from Gunsight lake and a great walk. Encountered a subadult bear so do be careful. Beautiful views very strenuous.
