Nice quick trail. Very crowded. Lots of dogs on leashes. Trail is well maintained. Felt like we spent half our time pulling over for other hikers going the opposite direction. Definitely a must do in the area but probably won’t repeat because of the crowds. FYI we went at 11am on a Tuesday and the parking lot was completely full

The trail was exceptionally maintained & easy to follow. Walking through a small running stream comprised some of the route. Mosquitos galore, bring insect repellent.

Great day hike! Friendly for your littles! Mosquitoes ate us up, so bring repellent and don't be shy with its use. We didn't get to the falls, as a portion of the trail (just past the little bridge) has been taken over with a little bit of water and the 4 year old didn't want to get wet.

The trail to the falls was easy and beautiful. However, only about 20% of hikers are socially distancing, and up at the top of the trail at the falls it was much worse. Be warned. Bring a mask if you’re concerned. The trail doesn’t allow much for maintaining a six foot distance even if you’re trying — and most folks are not.

Great trail we do it ever year on our way to Glacier National Park. This is the first time we had to cross water over the rocks. Not deep but shoes got wet. Just a FYI.

Cutest chipmunks at the end that we’re really friendly. One took crackers off my friends shoulder! Super rocky at the top so it was hard to find a spot for our picnic. We saw huckleberry bushes so come late July that will be a fun snack on trail.

Amazing trail. Easy with nice path. Steep as you get closer the falls. Rocky area to explore around the falls. Many great views of the lake and surrounding mountains as you climb higher. Also some small beach areas.

Pretty easy hike with nice views of Lower Holland Lake. You get close to the falls, but it was crowded when we went. Dog and kid-friendly, lots of places to stop and take a dip in the lake along the way.

This is great hike with great views all around. The trail is not very difficult but highly trafficked. It wasn’t very difficult to find a spot for ourselves at the falls, despite the number of hikers. Several areas to view and enjoy the falls. It’s a must do!

Great starter hike for the season - nice path and beautiful views on the ride to, at the bottom of trail, and up top at the waterfall. It’s only March and there were quite a few people on the trail, so I can imagine it only gets busier as the season goes on & Knowing that there isn’t really a great place to just sit for a bit at the waterfall, next time I will just wait to picnic when I get back down to the lake.

Awesome trail! Not crazy easy but not difficult! Worth it too! There was no snow at all surprisingly. There is another trail to that goes up to another lake we are gonna try next time!

It was a nice day hike. Still some snow on the the ground, but not much to be concerned with. There were plenty of families and dogs on the trail as well. The waterfall was nice and refreshing.

Great family hike. A little snow packed still, mainly on the trail. Falls were so beautiful. Can’t wait to go again when the lake is unthawed.

Hiked the trail yesterday and had a great time. About 40% of the trail had ice, but it was manageable without spikes. Beautiful views. Did see some fresh scat, so be aware.

Gorgeous trail! Fallen trees blocked the trail at a couple points, and a few landslide areas near the top made for steep and hazardous conditions. The trail ends at a large group of boulders with trees blocking the view of the falls; to actually see the falls we had to do quite a bit of scrambling around some rather wet rocks and fallen trees. All that said, though, it was 100% worth it! Absolutely stunning views of the lake along the entire trail, light traffic, very peaceful and easy enough for this rank beginner to get all the way to the top and back. Will definitely go again!
