The trail is great for hiking and normally takes 1-3 hours. The trail is steep, and it is easiest to go counter-clockwise. Great views of Bridger Canyon and the Gallatin Valley.

5/23/20 It was raining so quite muddy and slippery. Snowy top. Pretty view. Not too cold. Several hikers and dogs. Shoes and jeans were muddy but glad I didn’t slip on my butt.

Mules ears, Indian paintbrush, pasque flower, and penstemon in bloom. A decent amount of people hiking, a few dogs. No mud or snow.

Awesome trail and beautiful views at the top and on the way up.

Nice hike just out of town. Nice views. Spacious parking area and not as busy as the M Trail, so it's a good alternative if you're like me and hike the M often!

Easy to hike and you can bring your pet during the trail because there’s a water source in the beginning of the hiking trail!!! :)

I great short hike right outside of town. The trail does get slick with snow in the spring and on warm winter days. Very popular, lots of dogs.

Great hike if you want something quick from Bozeman. We did it after a big snow fall and thoroughly enjoyed the hike. Wasn't that slippery until the way down, had maybe 2-3 almost butt falls. From the top, there are cool views, picnic table, and a manmade lean-to with big sticks. Saw other ppl and a few dogs.

Hiked as light snow fell. We chose to go up the “steep” way and come down the less steep way. Packed snow; fine in hiking boots without yak tracks or poles.

Went evening of 2/28. Icy or slushy throughout, but we did fine with normal sneakers; if you’re not comfortable slipping and sliding, wear more than that. Good views for how short and flat it is— would recommend as a sunset hike.
