Dolus Lakes Trail is a 6.6 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Deer Lodge, Montana that features a lake and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and birding and is best used from April until October.
Beautiful lake! Really steep for the first .25 mile of the trail. FYI don't forget your bug spray like me!
Easy to follow trail, pretty steep at the beginning but then it levels out. There are two lakes, both are gorgeous! Could do an overnight at the lower lake as there is a clearly defined camp spot. We ran into a mama moose and her baby on the way down the trail :-)
