A challenging but rewarding hike. Just about impassable (in boots) this time of year due to snow on the eastern side. Still had a blast. The elevation change was a welcome challenge for two Minnesotans used to flatter geography.

We did this trail yesterday and due to sleet and snow had to turn back at around mile 2.5 due to sleet and snow and limited visibility. Also the trail was hard to see where it went due to snow. It was right by the ski lift. It was a good incline, probably not the best day two choice if not used to altitude. We did see two groups of deer to the right of the openings (left if coming back) which was awesome. Would like to try again if acclimated better and better weather.

We loved it and loved the difficulty level, though we’re not avid hikers. It was a pretty steady incline the whole way up. It got pretty chilly at the top.

Moderate hike. All incline on the way up. The path was clear and well marked. Beautiful fall colors and views. We went at the end of September and it was cool weather for most of the hike, but was snowy and frigid at the top. Not crowded!

Nice trail. Not too many people out today. Was about 4.4 miles to the top.

Man, was this hard. It’s a great trail though since you wouldn’t need to do the whole thing. There’s sights all the way up. We got up to the top and were at 4.8 miles and decided to turn back. Ended up with over 8 miles. We met people going up and down throughout. It is definitely tiring, so prepare!

This is a great hike. We did the hike up and then took ski lift down. I was surprised this was rated as hard as it was pretty gradual on the way up.

The ride up on the ski lift was stunning, The hike DOWN the trail was worth it if you want a long hike without the killer workout

One of my favorite trails in the Flathead. Spectacular views the whole way up and even better views at the summit. You’ll be able to see Glacier to the East and the Canadian Rockies to the North. On a good clear day you can even see Flathead Lake to the south. Make sure to bring an empty container for some huckleberry picking as well!

Highly recommended. Beautiful views throughout the entire hike. Took us about 2 hours to reach the summit, which included a stop to rest and have a snack.

Dont underestimate this trail. Bring plenty water and snacks, be prepared for the steep ending. Plenty of shade for the most part. Views throughout trail make the summit almost not worth the ending trip up. But otherwise a great trail

Beautiful uphill hike with spectacular views of lakes in the valleys. I downloaded the map and it was spot on to my location the entire trip up. Took the chairlift down to enjoy the views of lakes and mountains in the background.

The hike is beautiful. I wish all trails could get their act together with the maps. This one was so far off it was embarrassing The hike is beautiful.

Great trail! I’m 59 in good (not great shape). Took one hour forty-five. Take the open ski lift chair back down.

Beaufitufl trail. If you go during August when berries are ready bring a bag and take your time.

This really should not be listed as a "hard", especially relative to some of its peers that receive the same distinction. Trail is immaculately kept and never gets very steep. Danny On is a pretty leisurely scamper that's good for a nice workout without having to drive too far out of town. Better views can certainly be had elsewhere, however.

Great hike with spectacular views and beautiful wildflowers! The trail is rated hard but it wasn’t too difficult—closer to moderate. Our watches said it was 8 miles out and back. The trail is very well marked which was a plus!

Well marked trail! The views were beautiful and it was a good workout. We went off the trail up the summit trail, I wouldn’t recommend as it was much steeper. The flower point was very beautiful and not very far out of the way! Partially shaded
