Hiking

Started at two medicine lake and hiked to Cobalt Lake. The hike there isn’t too steep and has beautiful scenery. Lots of trees and wildflowers. We saw several moose as well. At Cobalt Lake we took a swim and it was freezing because of the glaciers. We then continued to hike up above the lake with to see the views along the continental divide. The hike was done at the beginning of August

We did this with the family in august of 2015. started at the south side of lower two medicine, up to cobalt lake where we camped one night, then over to upper two medicine, camped again, then back out. took the ferry across lower two medicine so didn't see all the north side of lower two medicine. It was a beautiful hike. we had intended to do the Gunsight Pass trail but that was the year of the fire so it was closed.

Fabulous trail made incredibly more difficult as the last mile and a half were snow covered. Well worth the effort!

Excellent backpack/hiking trail. Not a ton of elevation gain, but still very beautiful scenery. Lakes are very peaceful with plenty of wildlife around (sheep, moose and goats). Lake are also very nice to swim in if you can take the cold water.
