Pretty cool hike with the swinging bridge. The lake is not blue that was a disappointment but still worth the hike.

Amazing hike. Was at trailhead at 830a. Saw female moose fairly close to us within first mile. Passed one other human couple entire way to Cobalt lake. Gorgeous waterfalls and views along the way. On way back starting seeing a lot of people within a mile of parking lot. If you want to see amazing beauty and no one else...go here and go early.

Hiked on 7/26. Beautiful trail with lots of wildflowers. The incline at the end was tiring but definitely worth the views of the lake!

Hiked 6/25- gorgeous trail with something to look at in all directions the whole way up. A couple of sections still had some snow to trudge through, but it was passable in normal hiking boots. The lake was serene and beautiful. The steep sections are sort and there are plenty of opportunities to rest and enjoy the view. Saw a moose and some marmots and made noise throughout the hike.

08/2018 Long hike but well worth it! Beautiful little lake at the end, streams and flowers along the way, some wildlife. Be aware the weater can change quickly as it comes over the pass/mountains on the other side of the lake. we only got some rain for a portion of the hike then it moved on. Lacks shade in some parts, a few steeper inclines, but plenty of slow and steady incline.

The hike from Two Medicine camp store parking lot up to Cobalt lake has great views of the surrounding area. Very scenic hike with some falls , streams and just lots to take in. Some moderately steep sections.

Such a stunning view and refreshing dip in the lake! Tough trail with some wild weather, but definitely a favourite.

Great hike and a decent alternative to some West side hikes that were inaccessible due to a fire. The lake was refreshing and there were mountain goats on the cliffs above the lake. Cold beer at the end is definitely called for.

Long distance. Pack enough food and water. Encountered snow, hike along a stream, steep inclines in parts, not much shade in places. Cobalt itself is relatively small and sheltered. Take swim or have a nap before heading back. Grab a beer or ice cream at the nearby store at the end as a reward. You’ll need it.

Loved all the Beargrass this year and the wildflowers the last 1/3 of the hike were beautiful!
