More like 7 miles but so worth it! Even in the winter. Skiing down is a treat as well

***WARNING*** this trail head is a mile and a half up the road from the parking lot! So you need prepare for a 14 mile hike in the end, NOT 10.9!!!!! Gorgeous trail, but wear waterproof shoes! And bring trekking poles if you use them. It’s a pretty steep climb but mostly they will be of great use while navigating the fast flowing creeks you have to cross. There are some gorgeous waterfalls along the way. Sadly because we were not aware of the actual starting point, we didn’t make it to the lake because we ran out of time with making it back in daylight. We did see several mountain goats up on the cliffs so bring binoculars!

This is a very easy hike with several waterfalls along the way before you get to Champagne Falls. Beautiful!

Loved it! This was one of our favorite trails, although it wasn’t well-marked in my opinion. Start from the Grotto Falls trailhead and you get to see 3 waterfalls. It was an easy hike with a gradual incline. The sign for Champagne Falls on the trail is missing, so we’re glad we found it!
