Brutal trail in the heat due to no shade or wind cover. Best hiked in the early hours or later. Not a ton of wildlife, but the natural bridges are bigger than you expect! The scramble into the ditch yields some awesome views from underneath them, just make sure to pack plenty of water and a lunch!
Awesome views. It had rained the day prior to visiting and the trail definitely requires an off road capable vehicle. With the mud, we had to put the Jeep into 4wd on 3 occasions. Very fun trail to drive and the scenery is some of the best in Eastern MT.
I can't really judge the trail since I got a flat tire going over the old railroad bridge but the area is beautiful. I will definitely go back but I will park and walk. I wasn't the first person to get a flat going over the bridge. One of the 3 people I saw there said he had gotten flat tires twice from that bridge.
