Great hike with beautiful views. A little more challenging than the “Easy” rating. But we still did in 2.5 hours. Highly recommend.

Really nice hike, but so many flies! We camped at Tom Miner the night before and hit this trail early. Beautiful views, but the biting flies made it kind of terrible at times.

Beautiful, remote trail. We did not hike due to fresh signs of grizzlies in the area.

Great morning hike to Ramshorn Peak; large amount of wildlife seen along the way and plenty of grizzly sign. Highly recommend!

First to Review

We did not go from Tom Miner but started on the Gallatin Highway by the 320 ranch. We rode to Ramshorn Lake. The trail was somewhat muddy and the mud was very slick but the trail is fairly well marked and it is beautiful up there. It had recently snowed so Ramshorn peak was covered along with Fortress mountain. It was sunny especially for Oct 12, 2011. The leaves were changing. Awesome.
