It's a wide rock & dirt road that follows the Bozeman Creek with a gradual climb. Started mid morning in mid-June & there were some shady areas but more sunny than shady. Went approximately 5 miles up & turned around at a bridge. Great place for a long run as it is easy to follow. If you're looking for scenery though, I'd recommend choosing another trail. The creek is well below the road, so it's not visible through most of the hike. Large horse flies bite if you don't keep moving. Nice to soak feet in the cold creek at the end of a long run.
