We started at Goat Haunt but only went about 12km in to reach the Hawksbill campsite (where we were staying for the night). Next time we will extend our trip to complete the entire trail. The first few kms are pretty steep, especially with a heavy sack on your back in 30+ degrees Celsius. Overall the trail was pretty unspectacular. You're mostly surrounded by trees with minimal views. The trail is very narrow, and a lot of the time you're fighting your way through shrubs/plants. You do get a nice view of Lake Janet along the way, as well as Lake Francis.
