Absolutely gorgeous. The trail is well packed down, not too shabby with micro spikes on for areas where icy. The views through the canyon are endless and has a little bit of everything to enjoy from beginning to end.

HikingGreat!

WOW in the snow ! I hiked it back in AUG and it was a different kind of experience. I liked it even better in deep snow Sat though we parked 1.5 mi from trailhead and walked in just to be sure we wouldn’t get stuck as we saw another car do. When we did it in Aug you had to watch footing as it was very rocky, in deep snow it was pure joy!

Stunning and surreal. The footing can require a lot of attention, but take the time to look up around you! It’s one of those trails where it’s not the destination, but the journey. Enjoy it!

Great hike and views and fairly easy for experienced hikers. As we were leaving traffic on the trail picked up. Just a friendly reminder that if your dog(s) can’t be controlled verbally, they should probably remain on a leash.

Fabulous! I definitely suggest going to the upper falls about 0.5 miles from the first falls. Worth it!

Great trail but very rocky and slow going in some parts. Not too busy for a beautiful fall Sunday afternoon. A few trees down across the trail but nothing you can’t go over or under. There are lower falls and upper falls though so once you hit where this app tells you it’s the end keep going up about a half mile more and you will see the bigger upper falls. You’ll be just under 4.9 miles to that point! Little wet in some spots but it’s a GORGEOUS hike.

It was a great trail, with raspberries and huckleberries. Wear your good shoes with ankle support, it’s a very rocky trail

HikingGreat!

Immature black bear about .5 - .7 miles from the upper falls today at about 4:00pm. We settled our differences and both moved on. Bugs not too bad, mostly the non sucking and biting type. 2nd half of the trail a little over grown but not too bad. Wear pants if you’re feeling sensitive. Swam in the upper falls and highly suggest for a cool off. Can’t wait to come back and do the 12.9 to the lake!

It's the #1 hike in the Bitterroot National Forest for a reason! Excellent views of the canyon walls and creek – though I will agree with others, the waterfalls aren't the best in the area, so I wouldn't choose this hike to see waterfalls. A perfect accessible hike, it's easy to reach from town, and if you have less active people in your group, you can walk in half a mile and still get an amazing view. I found a mix of sun and shade, which made it pleasant even on a hot day in July.

Great hike. Very sunny though! Decent elevation gain but not strenuous. Beautiful views throughout and ample water stops for pup. Good stop offs for lunch/rest too. Would recommend for a day hike! The river is so clear, absolutely gorgeous.

Beautiful easy hike through the breath-taking Blodgett Canyon. The trail can be quite rocky in places but it’s easy to follow and there is lots of shade in the trees. The river is a gorgeous blue-green in color.

A very beautiful trail! We hiked from the trail head to the large waterfall. It took us about 4.5 hours and rounded out to be a 10.5 mile route round-trip. There are two waterfalls. The first one is pretty but small. Keep going .5 miles past the first waterfall to reach a second larger one. Bring bugs pray. The trail is pretty rocky so bring good shoes. Happy trails!
