Black Mountain is a 14.1 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Livingston, Montana that features a lake and is only recommended for very experienced adventurers. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from July until October.

Black Mountain overlooks Pine Creek Lake. The trail ends at the lake and you have to find your way up to the peak. It is very steep with loose rocks. It is suggested that you have some rock climbing experience to summit Black Mountain.
