To get to NF-132, it's about 7 miles south of Emigrant or 25 miles north of Gardiner. The road up to the Big Creek trailhead is passable for almost any vehicle with decent clearance. There is somewhat heavy horse/hiker traffic near the start with nearby guest ranches.

Nothing truly exceptional about this section of trail as you follow Big Creek. The meadows are fantastic for horse feed with waist high Timothy. A young Grizz watched us from the fringes of camp but never came within 50 yards of anyone or any horses.
