Amazing trail. Completed the entire loop, approximately 14.6 miles. Beginning of the trail was some what challenging as it was a straight up climb through heavy brush. After a few miles the trail cleared up, but it was very icy and filled with heavy packed snow. At the top of the pass the snow had covered the trail and we were usable to pass and had to scramble through the top of the mountain. After making it across the entire trail was covered and we were unable to follow it, and had to "create" our own trail. After several falls and slides we were able to somewhat find the switchbacks and continued our descent. After all this was an amazing hike, filled with challenges, but very rewarding with some amazing views of glaciers and mountain tops covered in snow.!
This is a short easy hike for the whole family. It was a pleasant stroll with Mountain View’s. We reached a waterfall that was really nice. We ended up continuing to the gorge and then walked back through the main highway. We don’t recommend this, cars are too close!
Rained and hailed the whole time but water was really running so awesome views!
Lovely colors and relatively even- not too much up and down! Glorious glacier day!!
Long hike but full of great views! There is quite some elevation gain but it doesn’t feel that hard most of the way. Loved it!
crowded, recommend separate Baring falls & Sun point, from St. Mary falls & Virgina falls.
Beautiful hike along St Mary River from Siyah Pass trailhead. Can go to St Mary & Virginia Falls trailhead 1.2 mi.
Relatively easy hike with incredible views! Trails were well marked. We went around 3pm on a Tuesday and it was difficult to find parking and very busy on the trail. I’d say about 1/2 of people were wearing masks.
