BRING BUG SPRAY! Trail is open and downed trees have been cleared ...at least to the creek (3.6 miles in). We passed the team who had just completed the bridge across the creek (Thanks!) Decided to stop at the creek and return because of the constant onslaught of mosquitoes. We didn’t have any spray, but I’m not sure it would’ve made a difference. Saw plenty of tracks (moose, elk, deer) but no animals outside of one rabbit. Would’ve been 4-5 stars if the mosquitoes had been a bit more bearable...

Went in mid October ran into one couple a long the way. Very remote lake that makes you feel really close to the mountains.

Extremely easy trail, nothing to see until you get to the lake.
