Definitely worth going! I’ve never seen so many elk at the park before until I went on the hiking trail. Please give the animals plenty of room as you hike. We encountered a group of 6 standing on the trail so we had to backtrack and go around them.

Great Trail- good work out. Plenty of wildlife... Had to detour a short piece due to Elk on the trail. Well traveled, some downed trees.

Not the most difficult trail but also enough to feel the workout, especially on some of the climbs. Overall, a good mix of elevation changes and rocky/obstacles kept interesting with elk and deer.

Neat trail. Inclined are not that difficult. Would give it 5 stars if not for all the cars driving by next to the trail. Good for wildlife.

A small group of us went for a midweek hike. Only saw 2 other people on the trail. Beautiful trail. Beautiful animals. Decent amount of incline. Bathrooms available and open at parking lot. A lot of fallen trees on trail to step over which kept things Interesting. Even with all the cars driving through, very peaceful trail! 4.1.20 @Blackpeoplewhohike 5 Hikers

The drive through Lone Elk Park was really crowded. The trail was not busy at all. A little muddy but able to get around most of it.

This is my go-to trail when I want a short, quick hike. A nice easy trail, a few hills but not much. The trail was muddy in spots today but over all was in good shape. As they seem to like to do, there was a large herd of elk on the trail at one point, at least this time of year you can detour round them without getting covered in ticks.

Perfect day for a short hike. Trail was in great condition with only a few muddy spots. There were a lot of families with small children on the trail. Some of the smaller children we’re having trouble with the hills but with help from the parents seen to be making it ok. I ran into a group of elk sunning themselves next to the trail. They were close enough to pet but I wouldn’t recommend it.

Great little trail. Well marked. It’s actually allied White Bison Trail. Not buffalo. Lots of wildlife to see. Would love to know more about the bunkers on property.

Walked up on ALL the elk on accident. Whoops. Scary, but very friendly creatures. Give them space and respect their space.
