This loop covers the west side of this trail area. Trail can be overgrown in spots and the leaves on the ground further obscure the trail making is somewhat difficult to navigate. The hike is moderate with lots of obstacles, downed trees across the trail, rock outcroppings, steep inclines and you will have to cross the stream many times. There is a seasonal waterfall as well.

Super crowded, but pretty. No holds on Hawn.

Really muddy but somehow the waterfall is dried up. Lots of poison oak and not much to see.

Pretty springs and water holes throughout that the dogs can walk thru to cool down. Variable terrain which keeps it interesting. The waterfalls weren’t full enough to be active this time of year which was disappointing.

Nice trail but as others mentioned it could use some marking, we downloaded the map so had no difficulties, we took a few detours down some of the other small paths to go check out some rocks, cave and creek.

Eastern trail is nicer. This one is ok. Some pretty rock formations. Some wildflowers. We saw several lizards. Not much else. Not enough parking for either trail.

One steep section but otherwise just moderate ups and downs. Fun and a good work out. Some mud but not enough to interfere. Really beautiful and green.

This is one of my hidden treasures in Missouri, although the word is getting out about what a gem it is. Two trails. neither very long , but gives you a decent workout . It has a seasonal waterfall which I've seen from bone dry to flowing full blast to frozen . A lot of beauty packed into one trail ... canyons, rock formations, wild ferns, baby pines ... It does get grown up with weeds next to the trail in some spots in the summer, so this is a place that I generally come to in the other seasons besides summer. In the winter you get views of the canyons that you can't see at other times.

No markings whatsoever and very difficult to follow, at least at this time of year.

Easy trail, beautiful views, it was dry, but the canyon was still Beautiful. We came early enough and enjoyed it alone. No trail marks but easy to follow on here.

This hike is shady and very scenic. We also hiked the Eastern trail which is across the road.

Went here when Hawn park was full so they turned us away. Great hike, pretty views, small waterfall. Need to do the other side next time.

Very nice morning hike. Plenty to see as the trail makes it way through the wooded bluffs. Great place to visit in tandem with the Eastern trail across the road.

went hiking there last weekend (2/28), and it was great. A little rocky and rooty in places, just gotta watch your footing. The hike is not long, which is good if you're hiking with friends. Beautiful hike with lovely views and creeks, definitely wanna go back when it gets warmer.

This is one of my favorite trails, and I have yet to see it with the waterfall running! I’ve gone twice now this winter. It’s been breathtaking both times. Beautiful views of the bluffs. Even prettier when covered in ice. The trail is easy to follow. It crosses the creek multiple times so wear waterproof shoes if it has been raining around the time of your hike.

lots of creek crossings, so much to see especially on a cold day with ice melting and forming awesome icicles everywhere. not well marked but pretty easy to follow the path.
