Towne Park is located just north of Wentzville off of Highway 61. It is a pleasant mixture of prairie and woods. The approximately 8' wide, 1.1 mile asphalt-paved trail offers a nice, fairly level all-weather place for walking, running, and biking.

This loop trail takes you around a central prairie field with woods on the outer side. The are also several earthen interconnected spur trails through the woods that you can add to increase distance to your walk and create a more hiking-like feel to your visit.

Near the parking area are two playgrounds for children, a pavilion, a pond, and a modern vault toilet facility. The park is nice for families and well maintained by St Charles County. It is also dog friendly but requires a leash.

I might add the the name Towne Park comes from the family that donated the land rather than meaning that this is some sort of town park.

This is an awesome paved trail through prairie and woods. There are two small ponds where we caught little bluegills and sunfish on every cast. There are two playgrounds - one with slides and what you expect- the other is a nature learning area. If you are pushing a stroller, this is a great walking and play place.
