Can’t say I would ever want to hike where hunters are shooting !

A fun, good on the feet trail. The surface varies from grass to dirt to rock to pine needles to leaves, with two crossings of creeks (one was dry). It was a bit muddy in places when we hiked (mid January) with standing water in places. I liked the variety of forested areas and seeing the LaBarque Creek. Hunting is allowed and all the hunters I have seen there seem to know exactly what they are doing.

Best part is it's usually empty. The long loop has some nice woodland hiking, but no real vistas or interesting views. Good to except use the legs, but not much more.

Really pretty, but people do hunt here very close to the trail, or they were this morning (sept 2). this surprised us as firearms are prohibited for deer here and it isn't turkey season yet but yeah, guns going off in this park. The trail is overgrown and narrow at points with poor visibility, so just be aware of that... prob not a super safe place to bring kids if they are the type to run ahead or want play off trail at all

This trail is part of the Young Conservation area. This was a trail where part of it was very easy to follow but in other parts it was hard to actually find the trail. Signage was poor.

Did this trail with big extended family. Doable for everyone from age 7 up to 60. Pretty views and lovely pines.
