Beautiful quiet trail that takes you to Missouri River. Fully paved and accessible but be careful as you get closer to the bottom on the trail. As of this evening there was young poison ivy growing all over the place, within just steps off-trail. I didn’t notice & made the mistake of letting my dog wander off the paved path to do his sniffing. Hadn’t planned on a Sunday night bath for the dog, yet here we are☹️

Nice easy trail. Good for kids, biking and just to get away for a few. Leads to the river.

Nice easy trail. Went close to dusk and it was beautiful seeing the reflection of the sunset on the river. They had part of the trail blocked off due to the river being so high.

Great trail where there are many places to sit and take in the views which is especially nice once it opens up towards the river. It was gorgeous this winter as ice floated by and the sun was perfect through the trees

Love this trail. It is paved but then you can go farther down river that is more hiking type.

Great family hike. First time on this Trail and the whole family enjoyed it. It's paved the whole way, and well kept. Even after recent flooding, the trail was cleared of all debris. The river was also at a high point and only a few feet from the trail. Great views and a great addition the Great Rivers Greenway trails.

I walks this trail several times a year... since it is only about a mile from my house. It is not the typical hiking trail since it is paved all the way to the Missouri River. It is a great family walk/hike to the river. A must see when the river is low, kids can go out on the rocks and play!! Would definitely recommend this for families!!

i grew up with the old Sunset Park...it felt weird for me to walk down a golf cart path...i was pretty disappointed with the expirience.any how...if you aren't going for the view of the Sunset St. Stanilaus is much better...

Paved walking trail down to the river. Downhill the way to the river and up the whole way back. Go here all the time at sunset. Great place to go and relax when the river is low you can go out on the rocks in the middle of the river. Construction is over now so it's always open.

Hiking Review: For what it is, this is a great trail. It's nicely paved, short, and clean. The best part is that it is very kid friendly and animal friendly. There's not anything special really, no cool creeks, or awesome trees to climb. Just a short paved hike with a single scenic view of the Missouri River at the bottom. One fun fact: it's downhill the whole way out, and uphill the whole way back. :P

Great trail. It is paved and has some good hills. The view of the river is nice, however the trail is almost always closed off due to some construction. So be prepared to turn around. I avoid in summer as blood suckers are bad.

Trail is apart of the Great Rivers Greenway system. The trail is paved and kid friendly. Trail was clean, well maintained. Out and back style, the trail is a challenge because of the elevation. Nice scenery, nice view of the Missouri River.
