Great little trail with incredible views of caves, rock formations and the spring. Easy for all ages with just a few stairs here and there. I recommend combining with the overlook trail (rocky and a little more strenuous but great views of the mill and surrounding area). Older reviews mention the bridge washed out but as of July 2020, there is a new bridge in working order so you can make the full loop back to the parking lot/mill.

Beautiful family friendly trail that winds behind Majestic and historic Alley mill behind the spring and around the bluff area. Gently hugging the river to the right. Beautiful cliffs and caves on the left but no climbing! Watch for the signs. This is a gorgeous area and love this trail very much!

The old mill is a highlight of this short hike. It sets next to a spring that averages 81 million gallons a day. The bridge over the creek has long since washed away so it’s an out and back trail now.

For as short as this trail is, it's packed with awesomeness. The area itself is amazing. I could sit and look at the spring all day. Great place for family pictures. So clean!

Beautiful area. The flood in April 2017 knocked out the bridge, turning this short trail into a longer one (see recording). There are lots of cool little caves to see and the hike now takes you along the creek and returns you to the parking lot. Very easy walk.

One of the most photographed mills in the Ozarks. Caught it one time with a thick fog over the spring. Very cool place !!!

Hesitate to write another review, but just visited again taking some family to this site. Alley Springs is a picturesque historic site. It is worth a trip there just to see it. But, once their you will have a hard time choosing what to do in the area. Choices seem unliimited.

The historic mill is nestled along Spring creek and is a beautiful sitting which the trail loops through. Also their is another short trail that give you a great overlook to the Mill. For fee camping is less than mile away and Jack's Fork river is great for floating.
