Beautiful trail. Easy riding.

This was a real disappointment. The trail head begins as an actual trail, but about a quarter of the way in, you have to walk about a half mile down a highway 58. This part is pretty dangerous. It is a two lane road with almost no shoulder and a drop off. The cars drive fast on it and there’s nowhere to go if they don’t see you. The trail then becomes an “actual trail” again after that but there is nowhere to park and access it without crossing this dangerous roadway. The state either needs to put in a sidewalk to access the trail or open parking near the actual trailhead. Do not recommend.

You have to walk about a 1/4 mile through town and the another 1/4 on a 2 lane highway. Once you get to the trail, it's nice, but not worth it. Biking might be better.

This is a nice extension off of the main Katy Trail at Windsor, MO. I've ridden it several times to Chilhowee and back to Pleasant Hill. Long stretches typical of rail to trail conversions. The only negative is the equestrian traffic that tears up the trail and makes it rough to ride and dodge the land mines. Other than that, a beautiful trail. Can't wait for it to be finished up to Lee's Summit...
