WalkingMuddy

A nice wooded hike that has the options of descending and of course ascending a trail with steps built in at various places. Some with handrails. The trail is not a loop trail. We hiked in after 4 days of rain and the slope in the grotto was mud-slicked so we turned back.

Trail was family friendly and perfect for a large group! Lots of stairs down to the waterfall and rocky area but totally worth the hike

HikingGreat!

Trail was great. Like others have said...the markings are not the best but if you have this app then you are good to go. Cell data works fine. The early parts of the trail you can hear the highway which reminds you that you are pretty close to town. Other than that though...great trail. Mostly groomed. Foot traffic wasn’t too bad and those that I ran into were pretty friendly. Excellent trail just outside of Branson. Do it if you are in town and go to the dry waterfall...pretty awesome. I would add that the farther from the trailhead you get the more challenging the trail becomes. Saw some folks in flip flops on some loose switchbacks...not good. But for you experienced hikers...you be just fine. For those families with kids...don’t let them get too far ahead of you because parts of the trail would be pretty challenging with small feet! But props to you parents getting them out there!

Wonderful area with multiple choices of trail lengths. Signage was confusing at times on the shorter distance trails. Historic area was well maintained and interesting to read about!

Nice trail, definitely not an easy one, especially if you do the 240 stairs. Not well marked and a bit confusing. Still a beautiful place.

Recommend for those is fairly good shape. 240+ steps up from the bottom. Great workout with my three 9-year-olds!

Great trail. The Owens part is fairly easy. There are so many options here we started on the ridge trail and connected to Owens. The water fall was really cool. No water. But cliff on both sides. The stairway out was 330 steps. Was great hike.

FloodedMuddyRocky

Great trail with varying levels of difficulty. The 330 steps up and down to see the waterfall were definitely worth it! The purple trail closest to the river was flooded as a few good storms have passed over the area over the last few days.
