I enjoyed the trail. It has a few good hills and I saw several deer. I would warn against hiking after a rain as much of the low land was wet and muddy from the horses. Also, there is a gun range on back side of the property so if that bothers you I would avoid. I will definitely come back again on a dry day and hike this again.

Pleasant Hope Conservation area is a hidden gem. There are three trails that all connect. My recording shows Trail 2 and part of Trail 1. It was a fairly easy walk through woods and beautiful meadows with some low stream crossings. There were a lot of redbuds in bloom, which was a treat to see against the bright green grass and clear blue sky. Only ran into one other group of people, then heard guns at the shooting range after having been there for an hour and a half. These trails are good for horseback riding. There are a few parking areas. Look at the Missouri Department of Conservation website for more information.
