Don’t mind our map. We did some extra exploring. Very rocky most of the trek. But walking along the creek made it worth it

Definitely not an "easy" trail. Very Rocky, lots of boulders. That being said I took my two teenagers and 4 year old and we had a blast, despite being fairly new to hiking. No trash seen anywhere. There were some spots that mud was unavoidable. The water was too high to cross over to the Whispering Pines two mile loop. I would love to come here again.

It’s a rugged trail, and requires some climbing and careful maneuvering. That being said, our 3 year old made it out and back without any issues. Well, except for a wet foot.

this trail is definitely not easy; it is moderate. my 66 year old mother barely made it over the rocks. the trail is not always clearly marked so you have to pay attention. you have to climb rocks through most of this trail. it is beautiful and worth it!

Rocky trail along Pickle Creek. Went two weekends in a row and enjoyed it both times - very different water levels. Trail is rocky and requires some concentration. Many areas to go down to the river edge and enjoy the boulders and moss.. Beautiful.

This can be difficult in places- especially in wet weather. It is absolutely beautiful though and enjoyed the shut- ins and the views from the ridge!

Right along that creek of mini rapids going over large granite stones! Some packed dirt and some rocky terrain. Take the plunge and cross Pickle Creek at the end and loop back via Whispering Pines Trail.

Beautiful trails. Well used. Some washout along Pickle Creek trail. One of the best state parks in Missouri especially for hiking.
