Osage Bluff Scenic Trail is a 1.9 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Westphalia, Missouri that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

October 12, 2020June 22, 2020Took my dogs for a walk here. Trail is easy to follow and gravel/boardwalk much of the way. Not too bad for uphill climbing. Good views of the Osage River. I did find one Lone Star Tick crawling on me while hiking but that was it. There were even young kids who were able to hike and finish the trail.
May 31, 2020Enjoyed a nice hike around. It was not crowded but we did pass a couple other families along the way. Very shady throughout the whole trail, except the overlook areas. Definitely go counterclockwise or you'll be doing a fair bit of up hill (We made the mistake of going clockwise). Not truly suitable for little kids (under 3ish), unless you've got them in a carrier, as there is a good portion with steep hillside down towards the river. Fantastic views of the Osage River. I've already been telling my neighbor about it and planning another trip.

May 10, 2020Excellent trail! I run this trail quite often, 4-5 times per weeks and 6-7 loops per visit, it’s unbeatable for the location! I meet some pretty great people on this trail also! Several today!

February 29, 2020My favorite loop in close proximity to Jefferson City! This loop is best in the winter, in my opinion! Lots of great lookout points, and is great to run clockwise.
January 5, 2020Great trail, just long enough for a mid morning hike. There is a steep ascent (hiking counter clockwise) between the two viewing decks that can slow you down but there also benches and some amazing views. Cows across the river can be heard.

September 11, 2019spider webs everywhere. good short hike with some cool bluff views of the river below. I would say this would be a better hike in late fall early winter when all the leaves are off the trees.
