Osage Bluff Scenic Trail is a 1.9 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Westphalia, Missouri that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
Trail is in great shape. Deceptively easy to start out, then the long hill takes over for a great workout.
Pretty trail but made more fun if you get off the trail and go down to the river
Took my dogs for a walk here. Trail is easy to follow and gravel/boardwalk much of the way. Not too bad for uphill climbing. Good views of the Osage River. I did find one Lone Star Tick crawling on me while hiking but that was it. There were even young kids who were able to hike and finish the trail.
Enjoyed a nice hike around. It was not crowded but we did pass a couple other families along the way. Very shady throughout the whole trail, except the overlook areas. Definitely go counterclockwise or you'll be doing a fair bit of up hill (We made the mistake of going clockwise). Not truly suitable for little kids (under 3ish), unless you've got them in a carrier, as there is a good portion with steep hillside down towards the river. Fantastic views of the Osage River. I've already been telling my neighbor about it and planning another trip.
Completely viewable trail no chance of getting lost. Nice views in several different places. Just a good amount of people probably packed in the summer. Would do again
