A nice loop on chat and natural surface. Two small foot bridges over streams. Trail loops around the fishing pond. The pond has two fishing docks (catch and release for 15 years and younger only). Parking at trailhead. Nice FISH art work placed by NEAT (Nature Educational art Trail) by the parking lot. Area is "below" the Stockton Lake Dam. There are also baseball fields and other roads to walk or bike with almost zero traffic. More is planned for the trailhead area over the next year.

Easy stroll with lots of shade. A bit of a hill climb on one end. Lots of bird watching! Some pretty washes and limestone outcroppings too.

The trail map on this app doesn't follow the actual trail so I decided to see where the map would take me. It mostly led through swamp and brush and I never could find an old trail that the trail map was based on. In any event, this is a fun "birdy" trail around a pond and we found a prothonotary warbler at the start.

Fun walk around a fishing pond. The highlight was a Great Blue Heron rookery on the east side of the pond.

What a great little find for my first small hike. The only problem is the trail has flooded areas from the epic 2017 flood last week in the area. But I walked one direction and turned around and walked the other until I could go no further. This has bluffs and streams with good shade and wide gravel path. Nice footbridge too. Dogs allowed--just clean up after them. Will return!

Nice trail to walk with views of the pond all the way around. There are some pretty massive trees too and several nests of cranes. Fairly flat terrain except for one short, steep incline/decline.

Great little trail all year round for all ages. Even if you don't fish, nice place to be. In addition to the trail, there are baseball fields and almost zero traffic roads to hike, bike or drive on. Great place for adults and families!!
