HikingGreat!

Great trail, especially if you have younger kids just getting into hiking. A little busy today because the weather is gorgeous for November, but it wasn't nearly as busy as other trailheads we passed on the way out. Some of the rockier bits will be slick if there has been rain. Be ready for the incline toward the end of the trail.

Shout out to GORC for creating and maintaining fantastic trails, especially in St. Charles County. Trail is in great shape, although it’s currently closed to bikes due to recent rain.

wide trail. we'll marked. lots of roots and rocks. creeks were nice. I started to the left and the last .25 miles was pretty steep (for me) I'd do it again.

Was very well kept trail. We forgot bug spray, but haven't noticed any ticks yet. Some roots and rocks to be aware of, but thoroughly enjoyed it. A little damp in areas, but not bad at all.

an easy to moderate trail. all sorts of terrain, from smooth, to rocky. the loop connected is well worth the effort.

Nice trail. Easy hike. One fork in the trail wasn't clearly marked towards the end, but we kept right and all was good.

A beautiful trail with many different creek crossings and beautiful greenery. The path was wide and well marked. Traffic was moderate and we brought our dog along and all enjoyed ourselves. Would definitely come back to do the 2 mile extension in addition to this. Highly recommend it! Was closer to 3.5 miles as stated before.

Should be rated moderate. I track my times on many trails on a regular basis...this is a moderate.

Great hiking trail with several creek crossings for the kids to play. I would say it’s closer to 3.2 miles. We have 6 kids and they all really enjoyed it.

nice, easy trail with easy elevation changes. trail not blazed but well worn with posted intersections. several muddy spots due to several days of wet weather and little sun reaching the ground because tress are in full bloom. there is a posted "difficult" spur that reconnects to main trail that is overgrown and not marked. the spur is basically over the top of hill trail instead of the regular switchback trail.

We had a fantastic time on this trail! The terrain is rooty and rocky at times, but our kids (aged 3-7) all did it just fine. It is really beautiful and the creek crossings are easy. We will definitely do it again soon.
