Nice, family friendly trail IF you do it as an out and back. To do the full loop, you have to go out on a busy street with no sidewalk. But, if you do the trail as an out and back it’s a great place to take the family for an easy walk or bike ride.

Don't go here. This is not a trail. It says 2.7 miles however only 1 mile is a trail. The other 2 miles is along a very busy highway with no sidewalk. Very dangerous for kids. I would definitely not recommend this one!

Great trail and well maintained, only problem I had was the fact that the trail ends and you have to go up a really busy street with no sidewalks to continue the loop.

Not a full loop, you have to walk over .5 a mile right by a busy side street. Not recommended for kids on the entire loop.

This is a beautifully paved trail with excellent views of the lake and nature. I only gave it 4 stars as it is not a true LOOP. In my opinion due to the stretch that you have to walk on the highway access road it doesn’t make the loop complete. It is a very busy stretch of roadway that is not safe for walking let alone with small children and dogs in tow. Better off walking to that point and turning around.

I'm only giving this trail 4 stars because it isnt a true loop trail. in order to go all the way around the lake you have to walk quite a ways down jefferson st. which is not safe with a baby stroller.

Pretty heavily trafficked. Full loop takes you by the highway which isn't the best imo. Nice trail overall.

Love this paved trail after a hard rain when everything else is mud.

Trail is paved. As a loop trail you must walk along the road. There were a few branches hanging along the trail. Its a 5 star as an out and back.

Nice trail I do recommend to be careful on the stretch of the trail by the access road it is pretty busy and with no sidewalk is a bit dangerous specially for younger hikers

Nice paved path around a lake. Some through the woods walking but about half is out in the open. Worst part is along I-70 on the fishing side of the lake. You have to walk along the road parallel with the interstate back to Adams Dairy Road. Then around the corner to rejoin the path around the rest of the lake..

Great views and trail, except part of the trail is not paved and you walk beside a busy street either in the grass or in the road.

Paved asphalt trail. Nice walk through a wooded area. Path travels around the lake. Trail does end and you are walking the .7 miles along a road by the highway. They (whoever) should put a paved path on the side of the road so the trail seems like a complete Loop. Nice walk, good exercise. Residential area.

Nice paved/asphalt trail for much of the walk. Be aware that if you go counter-clockwise, and you get to Adam’s Dairy Rd., the trail ends and you end up walking on grass/dirt and along NE Jefferson Rd till you get back to the lake parking lot along I-70. From there, the trail picks back up again and continues all the way to the beginning where it starts. I walked around right before the 1st week of Spring, so not much was blooming but I imagine that it’s nice when the trees and flowers have bloomed and have their leaves.

Well laid out paved walk surrounding a small city fishing lake. One portion you have to walk along the city street w/o a sidewalk. But OK. It is a great asset to the city and well used. Pleasant walk.

Super easy. We sailed thru this paved trail in less than 26 minutes on our bikes. Perfect for cardio.
