Great easy trail, splendid views, bring a camera! Runs right along the river for most of the trail, nice mix of sun and shade.

Driving from Berea Ky to Colorado and we wanted to get a run in. Did some exploring and can’t across this trail. I was able to do six miles on it and it was great. My fiancé did 11 and really enjoyed it. Packed gravel. Shaded. Very flat. Passed a couple people but not to many people out. Where we started in booneville there is a little visitor center and just one house up from parking area is a very cool looking coffee shop. (It was closed when we went but would have loved to try it). Would recommend this trail to anyone. It’s a perfect place to get out and go for a run during a long car ride. Will try to do more of it next time.

This truly was a beautiful hike along the river. This section offers quite a bit of shade. I continued on to the McBaine Trailhead after enjoying a beer and the views from The Station House. A band was setting up as I left there which tempted me to stay and risk loosing daylight. This was my first time on the Katy and it definitely gave me the bug.

The Katy Trail is one of Missouri’s outdoor recreational gems for biking, walking, and jogging. This section between Rocheport and Huntsdale is beautiful with open pasture land and shady sections where the trail is protected in a canopy of trees. It also runs along some very scenic sections of the Missouri River. Be sure and enjoy this section during the Fall when the trees are in full color.

Beautiful ride... the scenery was breath taking. The trail was so well taken care of. All the people I met were so friendly. It's just a fun day and I can't wait to get back in the fall to see all the fall colors.

This is a great biking part of the Katy trail, there are stops you can take and sights to look at, not an intense biking but beautiful

If you go to this trail make sure to bring your bike with you. Rocheport used to have a bike rental store but that is no longer in business. The prettiest view is by far the first one you see with the bridge and the tunnel. Apart from that, climbing up the hill with the tunnel also has some good views but that's mostly it. This trailhead is settled in a quaint town that may be fun to have a luncheon or view antiques at.
