This portion of the Kate trail is often times described as perhaps the most scenic of all the sections. Please note: for those of you on bikes, some portions of the trail are entirely paved while other portions are packed dirt.

The Katy Trail is one of Missouri’s outdoor recreational gems for biking, walking, and jogging. This section between Rocheport and Huntsdale is beautiful with open pasture land and shady sections where the trail is protected in a canopy of trees. It also runs along some very scenic sections of the Missouri River. Be sure and enjoy this section during the Fall when the trees are in full color.

Great little hike. Nice and flat for hiking with dogs on a lead.

Beautiful ride... the scenery was breath taking. The trail was so well taken care of. All the people I met were so friendly. It's just a fun day and I can't wait to get back in the fall to see all the fall colors.

One of my favorite sections. Only second to the Boonville to Rochport.

If you go to this trail make sure to bring your bike with you. Rocheport used to have a bike rental store but that is no longer in business. The prettiest view is by far the first one you see with the bridge and the tunnel. Apart from that, climbing up the hill with the tunnel also has some good views but that's mostly it. This trailhead is settled in a quaint town that may be fun to have a luncheon or view antiques at.
