Nice day for a trail hike. Very nice and pretty peaceful minus the passing traffic.

I’d give this five stars if there were more places to stop and visit along the way ! We did ear at the Bar in Motane and had amazingly delicious burgers and catfish ! There is a closure at about mm118 / very easy detour on the adjacent road ... seemed less than a mile to go around.

Not a bad trail. Very level and some scenic views. If you pay attention, you will see an area where Lewis and Clark camped. That was a cool find. I suppose an advantage of walking instead of racing by on a bike.

The Katy Trail is one of Missouri’s outdoor recreational gems for biking, walking, and jogging. This section between Jefferson City and Hermann is beautiful with open pasture land and shady sections where the trail is protected in a canopy of trees. As you approach Rhineland, watch any of the small tree limbs or sticks in the trail because I got a flat tire somewhere in that section due to the thorns. Stay at Joey’s Bird House B&B in McKittrick-nice place and hospitality!

Very easy, nice family place. Perfect place for a bike ride, although not too scenic.

There are some really pretty sections. Portland area has high bluffs on one side and the river on the other. Then there are sections that are just farm fields on both sides. Always a nice ride though.

One of best in world. We ride lots of trails and this one is great. Hard rain washed out a few places a couple days ago and today crews were repairing them!! Very well maintained. The 240 mile trail now has several spurs that take you to most larger cities.
