We walk this trail most weeks with the dogs. The trail is well marked until the last hill, after that its a little overgrown. We walk to the pond and loop back, its the perfect distance for a quick walk near town, through the forest, as it takes us around 30 minutes.

This was a pleasant hike with some unexpected views. The elevation varied greatly but the hike was not strenuous. There were a lot of fallen trees and the path was grown over in parts. Trail markings were also not obvious.

Forested area next to the city of Cape Girardeau. There are few little off shoot trails from the main one. I saw a lot of birds while hiking. Relatively easy trail with a few gentle hills. This area is used for research so please do not disturb research efforts!
