Jones Hollow, the namesake of Jones Hollow Trail, is located at the base of the hillside on the far eastern edge of the trail. Highlights of the trail include high quality dry woodlands and a dolomite glade belt that is a signature feature of the Current River Hills region. The bright white petals of flowering dogwood fill the landscape in spring, and sugar maples in the lower reaches of the trail turn a blazing yellow each fall. Old growth, gnarled chinquapin oaks, some more than 200 years old, can be found on rock outcrops. White connector 1 provides access to Ninebark Trail. White connector 2 can be used for a shorter hike on Jones Hollow Trail.

This is a mostly wooded trail that is well blazed and has some wonderful old chinquapin oaks along it. It does partly overlap the Current River Trail that runs from the Current River State Park to Echo Bluff State Park. Heading south on the trail there are a couple of glades that overlook the valley the Current River flows through that are very scenic. Found a gorgeous Chicken of the Woods next to the trail.
