Note: This trail is currently closed due to COVID-19. While short in length, this trail is a fairly strenuous hike in some portions. This was my first time out here and I'm excited to know it's only 10 minutes from house, it's gorgeous, peaceful, and exactly what I needed!! The 'offroad' trail was well maintained but still have a good trail run. I will definitely be back very soon.

I would recommend this trail to anyone with a dog or kids. We took our 6 and 9 year old out and had little trouble clearing this 5 mile hike from the tobacco barn down and back.

We combined the paved trail with the Harpist and West Ridge to make a 4 mile loop. A beautiful route!

Great trail. Leaves are starting to turn. We were pleasantly surprised with the addition of two new (to us) short trails off of Harpst. 0.6 mi out and back to Tobacco Barn and 0.4 mi out and back to Weston Bluffs Trail next to the Mo River. This one was a little steep but worth it.

Great Trek! It was a beautiful afternoon. The traffic was very light! Paved trails as well as natural trails along with a variety of inclines and declines. A little challenging with great scenery. Only wished the fall colors had set in. I was out about a year ago...maybe just a couple weeks short and fall was in full color. I will definitely make it out again over the next couple of weeks.

Trail is good. as another user stated it will be beautiful once the leaves fall and open up the view

Overall, a good trail for a quick getaway. Some moderate inclines getting to the ridge, but nothing too strenuous. Majority of this route (65%) is paved, but it didn't detract. Some steep cliff sides without railings up on the ridge, so keep hold of your kids and dog children if they're not experienced hikers. All-in-all, can't wait to come back later in the fall when the trees have dropped some leaves and opened up what appear to be great views.

Great fall hike! Well maintained and features a nice section of ridge walk along the bluffs. Very scenic and peaceful!

Pleasantly surprised. First time at the park. There was plenty of parking at the West Ridge TH and a very clean bathroom. Make sure you have hand sanitizer with you. Went Oct 20 and the foliage was beautiful. Course had enough challenge, but not overwhelming. My only thought is it would have been perfect had trees not obscured the view of the river at the Outlook. But, hey, it’s a state park, right!?

Wonderful trails, but beware: very slippery when the ground is saturated! Amazing views and unexpected beauty.

We followed the All Trails trail map. 2 out of the 4 miles was paved in asphalt. The other 2 are wooded area. Some parts might be moderate, but 3.5 miles should be rated as easy. There were several other people about, so I would say moderately traveled, not lightly. But the area is decent and so was the trail. May check out again.
