The Falls is the largest, continuously flowing natural waterfall in Missouri, Grand Falls plunges 12 feet down a 163 foot wide ledge of solid chert before crashing into jagged crags and drifting southward in peace. The trail leads you to the falls and below as it cascades over Shoal Creek

Not really a hiking trail but I was in the area and decided to stop by. It was beautiful and relaxing. I wish I had brought a picnic lunch to relax there.

The falls are iconic in Joplin, and for good reason. They are beautiful! However, on weekends or when the weather is nice this place is PACKED. Not a hiking area, just a place to park on the side of the road and walk a couple hundred feet to look at the falls. A sight worth seeing if you are in the area, but don't expect a hike or a place of solitude.

The falls was flowing good when I visited. It was worth the stop after visiting Wildcat Glades.
