BEAUTIFUL WALK TO GIBSON SPRING ANOTHER NATURAL WONDER ABUNDANT WILDLIFE ABOUND IN THIS AREA. THIS IS A SHORT WALK THROUGH THE OAK HARDWOODS OF THE OZARKS,THERE ARE A FEW CLEARINGS THAT HAVE SOME RATHER DEEP GRASS AT THE PRESENT BUT THAT WILL SOON BE GONE. THE SPRING IS A NICE PLACE TO COOL OFF ON A HOT DAY. PICNIC TABLES ARE AROUND THE SPRING SO BRING YOUR LUNCH AND HUNT A CACHE OR 2. THIS IS A CONSERVATION AREA SO NO ATV'S ARE ALLOWED AND HORSES IN DESIGNATED AREA'S ONLY.

Short walk. Several tree falls blocking the main path down from parking lot however alternate foot path cuts through brush and briars to the right. Well maintained area adjacent to the spring with picnic tables and a hitching post. Spring originates from under a tree and is ice cold. I live in the area and didn't know this existed until I joined AllTrails.

Very open and flat. Entire conservation area is able to be walked as it is multi-use for horse's. We did the Gibson Spring trail and added another 3 miles worth of horse trails.

Nice level walk in and out unless you take an alternate route to another parking area as we did to explore. The water was nice and the fire pit area was pretty neat with the pot holder and stumps. Would be fun to bring a group out there. Quick easy trek out into nature.
